An established legal services firm based in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to support a busy accounts function and grow within a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices and expense claims, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Reconcile supplier statements and manage purchase ledger administration.
- Assist with month-end financial tasks such as accruals, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Support sales ledger activities, credit control and debtor management.
- Collaborate with the finance team and wider business to resolve invoice or payment queries.
- Maintain and update financial and vendor records in accounting software.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
Your Profile
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant, purchase ledger or finance role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
