Moulding Technician

DK Recruitment are working with a global Manufacturer who are looking to offer an experienced and qualified Moulding Technician a new career and join their successful team based in Plymouth. Main responsibilities: * Operating injection moulding machines to produce plastic components according to specifications. * Troubleshooting any issues with the machines or processes through root cause analysis and technical fault finding (Mechanical & Electrical). * Completion of routine planned maintenance – Weekly, Monthly & 6 Monthly. * Assisting PM Technician with annual maintenance tasks on machines. * Working safely and adhering to all health and safety regulations and internal procedures. * Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste (e.g. 5S, Gemba Activities, Kaizen, TIMWOODS) * Collaborating with all members of shift core team including Operators, Quality Technicians, Engineers and Shift Leaders. * Documenting production data and maintaining accurate records through SAP. * Conducting regular inspections of equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. * Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Experience/Qualifications: * Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline is essential for this position. * Previous experience in a Technical based role in a manufacturing environment. * Previous experience of Injection Moulding is desirable although not mandatory. * Ability to fault find on mechanical and/or electrical equipment. * Ability to follow work instructions to complete routine tasks. * Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques. * Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. * Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others. * Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. outlook) * Working hours (Apply online only) 3 on 3 off
