We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator / Payroll Administrator to support a busy payroll team during a major payroll system migration. The role will involve working with payroll data from multiple businesses, checking and validating information, identifying discrepancies and helping ensure data is accurate and ready to be migrated onto a new payroll platform. It’s a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working with large amounts of data, has strong Excel skills and naturally spots when something doesn’t look right.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting day-to-day payroll administration
- Checking and validating employee payroll information
- Reviewing data for errors, discrepancies and missing information
- Carrying out data cleansing and reconciliation
- Preparing and formatting payroll data for migration
- Supporting payroll testing and parallel runs
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and audit trails
- Using Excel to analyse data and produce reports
- Liaising with internal teams to resolve payroll queries and data issues
- Supporting the Payroll Lead throughout the migration project
About you:
- Previous experience in payroll administration or payroll support
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large spreadsheets
- Good experience checking, reconciling and validating data
- Excellent attention to detail
- Well organised and able to work to deadlines
- Confident raising discrepancies and asking questions when information doesn’t look right
- Good communication skills and comfortable working with different stakeholders
Experience with payroll system implementations, migrations or Moorepay would be useful but isn’t essential. This is initially a 10-week temporary assignment to support the system migration, with the potential for the role to become permanent depending on business requirements and performance.
Salary: up to £40,000 dependent on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday office based, Friday working from home.
