Are you ready to lead environmental compliance for a vital housing safety service in one of the UK’s most beautiful regions? We’re looking for an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager to take the reins on key sustainability, environmental risk, and private wastewater management responsibilities. You’ll play a leading role in shaping and delivering environmental performance across a diverse housing portfolio—ensuring projects are not just compliant, but future-proof.
What you'll be doing:
- Overseeing a portfolio of private wastewater systems, ensuring compliance, safety, and regular maintenance.
- Managing environmental licences, inspections, and planning conditions for major housing and infrastructure projects.
- Providing expert advice and training across the organisation, from site staff to senior leaders.
- Driving continual improvement through audits, CEMPs, SWMPs, and environmental performance reporting.
- Collaborating with contractors, regulators, and technical specialists to embed sustainability in all operations.
About you:
- A degree in Environmental Management or related field.
- IEMA Practitioner (or working towards) and ideally IOSH membership.
- Strong working knowledge of environmental legislation, planning, and compliance.
- Proven project and people management experience, particularly around wastewater systems.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
