The Opportunity

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll take full commercial responsibility for planned and capital works projects valued up to £3m. This is a hands‑on role offering genuine autonomy, influence, and visibility within the business. You’ll work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders to drive profitability, manage risk, and ensure successful financial delivery from pre‑contract stage through to final account.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Identifying commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Producing budget cost value reconciliations
  • Managing variations and ensuring accurate contract valuations
  • Monitoring cash flow, purchase orders, credits and debtors
  • Producing and analysing weekly cost and performance reports
  • Supporting productivity planning with operational teams
  • Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring contracts are delivered on time, on budget, and to agreed quality standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within planned works, refurbishment, or capital projects
  • Experience managing projects/programmes up to £3m in value
  • Strong commercial acumen with a sharp eye for cost control and value optimisation
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Organised, analytical, and solutions-focused
  • Comfortable taking ownership and driving performance
