Engineering Manager (Housing Development) Location: South West Salary: £68+ 6,500 car allowance + bonus Are you an experienced Engineer or Engineering Manager ready to lead exciting residential developments? Join a growing housing development team in the South West as an Engineering Manager and make a real impact. What You’ll Do: * Lead engineering for new developments, working closely with internal teams and external consultants. * Produce site feasibilities, drainage strategies, foundations, and structural solutions that are practical, cost-effective, and compliant. * Manage consultants through all stages, from land bids and planning to working drawings. * Review designs to ensure buildability, value engineering, and efficiency. * Attend planning, pre-tender, and pre-start meetings. * Collaborate with site teams and department heads to ensure projects are delivered successfully. What We’re Looking For * Engineering/construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) * Experience in geotechnical reports, drainage strategies, highways design, and foundations * Working knowledge of housing development, preferably working directly for a housing developer * Strong organisational skills, self-motivated, and proactive. * IT-savvy (Word, Excel, Outlook) with a full driving licence. * Hands-on, positive, and professional approach with excellent communication skills.
