DK Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established contractor working within the social housing sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrician to support ongoing installation and maintenance works across occupied and void properties.

This role offers long‑term, stable work with a reputable organisation delivering essential electrical services within residential environments.

The Role

As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, testing, inspection, and maintenance works within social housing properties. The role will involve working in tenants\’ homes, so strong customer‑facing skills are essential.

Ventilation experience (such as extract fans, MVHR, or air handling systems) is highly desirable but not essential, with training available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical installation and maintenance works within social housing properties
  • Fault‑finding and repairs on domestic electrical systems
  • Testing and inspection (EICRs) where required
  • Installation and maintenance of ventilation systems (desirable)
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with current regulations
  • Providing a professional, customer‑focused service to tenants
  • Accurate completion of job sheets and compliance documentation

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience working within social housing or domestic environments
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ventilation experience (extract fans, MEV, MVHR) advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Reliable, professional, and tenant‑focused approach
