We're looking to appoint multiple Electrical Engineers to support a long-term programme of works within Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. This is a permanent position offering long-term stability, with work secured through 2031 and beyond across multiple Dockyard contracts.
The role will involve supporting the delivery, coordination and technical oversight of electrical works on complex, regulated infrastructure projects within a secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across Dockyard electrical projects from planning through delivery
- Review designs, drawings and specifications to ensure technical compliance
- Support site teams with technical queries, inspections and quality assurance
- Coordinate with project managers, supervisors and subcontractors
- Ensure electrical works are delivered in line with programme, specifications and standards
- Assist with commissioning, testing and handover documentation
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory regulations and Dockyard requirements
- Liaise with client representatives and other stakeholders as required
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering background with relevant qualifications (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)
- Experience delivering electrical works on industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of current electrical regulations and standards
- Comfortable working within secure or highly regulated environments
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work on-site in Plymouth
- Security clearance, or the ability to obtain it - Required
