We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our small finance team in Plymouth. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry, accounts payable, and the use of accounting software. Our modern office offers free private parking and excellent facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Daily use of Xero for accounting tasks
- Maintain and allocate receipts to the sales ledger
- Maintain the purchase ledger, allocate payments, and manage suggested payments for authorisation
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and reconcile accounts
- Ensure accurate information across Xero and other financial systems
- Maintain petty cash and credit card accounts
- Provide reporting to the Directors and external accountant
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts department
- High accuracy and attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services practices is preferred
- Experience using Xero
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
