Manufacturing Engineer in Crewkerne

An established engineering and manufacturing business in Somerset is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team. This is a hands-on role focused on developing, improving and optimising manufacturing processes and supporting the wider production operation. The Role * Design, develop and improve manufacturing processes * Optimise manufacturing methods and production processes * Identify and implement improvements to efficiency, productivity, quality and cost * Provide practical engineering support to the manufacturing team * Investigate and resolve manufacturing and process issues * Work closely with the shop floor to implement improvements * Develop effective manufacturing methods and solutions * Support new and existing manufacturing processes About You * Manufacturing, Process or Production Engineering experience * Strong background in one or more areas of machining, manufacturing, fabrication or engineering production * Practical, hands-on approach to manufacturing and process improvement * Able to identify and implement improvements across the shop floor * Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles * Candidates who have progressed from a hands-on machining or fabrication background into an engineering position are encouraged to apply * Broad manufacturing knowledge with strong problem-solving skills The Opportunity This is a varied opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process and making a tangible difference on the shop floor.
