DK Recruitment are working with a world-renowned, precision Engineering business based in Plymouth who are expanding their Engineering team to work within high-end TURNING CNC technology.\\n\\nThe purpose of the CNC Turner is to set Star CNC Lathe machinery to tight tolerances.\\n\\nMain Duties:\\n\\n * To read and understand engineering drawings & Specifications to set CNC Turning Machines.\\n\\n * Select and correctly fit tooling, jigs and fixtures.\\n\\n * To set programs and adjust bar feeds.\\n\\n * To adjust and tweak programs.\\n\\n * Ability to work to tight deadlines\\n\\n * Sign off 1st batch.\\n\\n * Work alongside quality to ensure reduced waste.\\n\\n * Use Vernier’s & Micrometers.\\n\\n * Support the running of machinery and ensure coolants/oils are topped up at all times.\\n\\n * Ensure any breakdowns are reported immediately to supervisors and maintenance team.\\n\\nSkills & Qualifications Required:\\n\\n * Previous experience as a Turning CNC Machinist is essential.\\n\\n * Ideally Apprentice Trained with STAR experience\\n\\n * Good problem solving skills.\\n\\n * Excellent Maths skills and use of measuring equipment is a must.\\n\\n * Able to develop strong effective relationships with all departments.\\n\\n * Excellent attention to detail and organised
