The Role
As a Mobile Fabric Engineer, you'll carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance across a portfolio of commercial buildings.
You'll be responsible for ensuring sites remain safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive fabric repairs.
- Complete carpentry, plumbing, decorating and general building maintenance tasks.
- Repair doors, locks, ceilings, flooring, walls and windows.
- Undertake basic plumbing repairs, including taps, toilets and pipework.
- Carry out patch plastering, tiling and painting where required.
- Complete minor roofing and external building repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards.
- Accurately complete job sheets and maintenance reports using handheld devices.
- Build positive relationships with clients and site representatives.
About You
- Previous experience as a Fabric Engineer, Building Maintenance Engineer, Handyperson or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative.
- Strong all-round building fabric maintenance skills.
- Experience working within commercial Facilities Management is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, decorating and general maintenance.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload.
