We are currently working in partnership with an award-winning social housing provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Fire Contracts Manager on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing, property, compliance or fire safety professional to take responsibility for a range of fire safety programmes, compliance contracts and remedial works across a social housing portfolio.

The Role

As Fire Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of fire safety and compliance programmes, working closely with contractors, consultants, residents and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing fire risk assessment programmes and associated remedial works
  • Overseeing fire safety and compliance contractors and consultants
  • Managing planned maintenance and compliance projects
  • Monitoring contractor performance, budgets and KPIs
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with relevant Fire Safety, CDM and Health & Safety legislation
  • Managing inspections, planned works and remedial programmes
  • Working closely with residents and internal teams to ensure effective delivery
  • Providing effective contract and performance management across a range of compliance programmes

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within social housing, property services, asset management, building surveying, fire safety or compliance. You will ideally have:

  • Experience managing fire safety, compliance or building maintenance contracts
  • Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing contractors and external consultants
  • Experience overseeing planned works, inspections and remedial programmes
  • Strong understanding of property compliance within a housing or similar environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to manage budgets, performance and contractual KPIs effectively

What's on Offer?

  • £49,000 - £53,000 salary
  • 18-month fixed-term contract
  • Full-time, 37 hours per week Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
