We are recruiting for a Tier 1 business who is looking for progressive quantity surveyor graduates to join their team. They are offering a really varied array of projects that will allow an opportunity to really progress your own skills and abilities. Ideally you will want the opportunity to work on projects for a full 360 process across many disciplines. This will include Civils and Housing projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through to completion.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to financial plans.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to negotiate costs and secure best value for money.
- Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract administration.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects for audit and reporting purposes.
Working on prestigious projects in Plymouth, managing cost control and commercial aspects from concept to completion, and assisting the QS Teams with multiple projects.
As a Quantity Surveying Graduate, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Support cost management and control on large scale projects.
- Assist with procurement, contract administration and tendering.
- Gain hands-on experience with budgeting, reporting and commercial management.
- Attend site meetings, providing updates and supporting high levels of internal and external communication.
