We are currently recruiting for experienced domestic Electricians to work across a range of residential housing contracts, including local authority housing, housing associations and refurbishment programmes.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and repair works within occupied and void social housing properties. Work will include responsive repairs, planned maintenance programmes and upgrade works across domestic housing stock.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical repairs and maintenance in occupied properties
- Installation and upgrades within social housing stock
- Electrical testing, inspection and certification (EICR)
- Fault finding and remedial works
- Consumer unit upgrades and rewiring works
- Ensuring compliance with current wiring regulations
- Working closely with tenants, housing officers and site teams
Required Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential)
- 2391 Testing & Inspection (Essential or working towards)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- ECS / JIB Gold Card (Desirable)
- AM2 Qualification (Desirable)
Experience Required
- Previous experience in social housing, domestic maintenance or housing association contracts
- Strong testing, inspection and fault-finding ability
- Experience working in occupied properties
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills
