As part of this successful, global organisation, the European business division now requires a M&A Manager, to join their small, high impact team. With a passion for mergers and acquisitions, you will be at the centre of this acquisitive business model, supporting and leading transactions across one of the Group’s most diverse and demanding business regions.
This role has hybrid/ flexible working arrangements as well as an attractive compensation and benefits package.
The Role:
Reporting to the EMEIA M&A Director, as M&A Manager, you will work across the full deal lifecycle, from early stage target screening through transaction execution to post acquisition integration.
In addition, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- supporting and leading buy‑side and sell‑side M&A transactions across the full lifecycle
- taking ownership of critical deal workstreams, including financial analysis, quality of earnings, and deal structuring
- building and reviewing valuation models, financial models, and investment cases
- co-ordinating and managing financial, commercial, legal, tax, and operational due diligence with internal teams and external advisors
- supporting negotiations and the preparation of transaction documentation
- contributing to post‑acquisition integration planning, tracking, and value‑creation initiatives
- identifying, screening and evaluating acquisition opportunities across EMEIA
- conducting market, competitive and strategic analyses in priority segments
- preparing investment papers and executive presentations for approval forums
- acting as a trusted partner to Business Segment and Product Segment leadership and their CFOs on live transactions
Operating at a strategic level, as the M&A Manager you will be required to devise, implement and influence at all levels throughout the EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India, Africa) region including regional business leaders, CFOs and Group stakeholders.
The Candidate:
Ideally of graduate or similar standard, preferably from within a financial, economics or business related discipline, candidates for the M&A Manager role will preferably also have achieved further financial qualifications.
In addition, candidates will also be able to demonstrate that they have:
- proven experience in M&A and/or Transaction Services sector
- a strong grounding in financial due diligence, transaction services and deal execution, with exposure to multiple transactions
- excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills
- experience managing multiple transaction workstreams and interfacing with senior stakeholders
- previous experience operating within a complex, international organisation
Candidates for the M&A Manager role should also be:
- a pro-active, hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative and has a positive, professional attitude
- an analytically focused individual with the presence and ability to communicate, motivate and influence at the highest level
- capable of working as part of a team or under your own initiative to meet required targets and deadlines
- excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to success
- the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
European language skills would be a benefit but are not essential.
