Senior Test Engineer Up to Β£65,000 + Bonus + Benefits Manchester (Hybrid – 2 Days Per Week) With significant investment in product engineering, cloud technology and platform modernisation, the business is continuing to scale its engineering capability and is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to play a key role in driving software quality across a portfolio of modern cloud-based products. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where quality is viewed as a shared responsibility and where Test Engineers work closely alongside Software Engineers, Product Managers and Architects throughout the entire development lifecycle. As a Senior Test Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of complex software platforms used by customers across the UK and Europe. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys automation, modern testing practices and helping engineering teams deliver software with confidence. You'll contribute to test strategy, automation framework development, integration testing, API testing and performance testing whilst championing quality throughout the SDLC. The environment is highly collaborative, Agile and focused on continuous improvement. Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies Drive automation-first testing practices Perform API, integration and end-to-end testing Execute exploratory and regression testing where required Embed quality within CI/CD pipelines Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers and stakeholders Mentor and support junior members of the testing function Contribute to continuous improvement across engineering and quality practices Strong experience in Software Testing or Quality Engineering roles Strong API testing experience using Postman, SOAP UI or equivalent Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks Experience working within Agile product engineering environments Cloud experience within AWS or Azure environments Understanding of performance testing tools such as k6 or JMeter C# experience Database testing experience Experience testing complex integrations and distributed systems Experience mentoring or coaching other Test Engineers Hybrid working model (2 days per week in Manchester) Strong engineering culture with genuine investment in quality Opportunity to influence testing strategy and engineering standards Up to Β£65,000 plus bonus and comprehensive benefits package If you're passionate about automation, software quality and modern product engineering, we'd love to hear from you.
