Lead Test Engineer – £500/day (Outside IR35)
Manchester | Hybrid (2 days/week onsite)
A brand-new greenfield platform is being built from the ground up, and we’re looking for a Lead QA who can bring structure, predictability, and quality to a fast-moving multi-team engineering environment.
You’ll be the heartbeat of quality across several squads, owning release planning, test strategy, and cross-team alignment for a major next-generation product used across the UK and Europe.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading QA delivery across multiple teams
- Owning test strategies, release test plans, and cross-team coordination
- Driving quality, pace, and visibility to senior leadership
- Ensuring stable, predictable releases through strong QA discipline
- Getting stuck into exploratory testing and pushing automation opportunities
What you’ll bring
- Multi-team delivery coordination experience
- Strong understanding of QA best practice + modern engineering
- Confident communicator across engineering, PMs, and leadership
- Experience working with CI/CD, release management, and complex integrations
- API testing knowledge (Postman/SoapUI) is a bonus
