This is a rare chance to step into a senior, highly visible ServiceNow role within a well-established, globally recognised organisation based in the heart of Manchester.
ServiceNow is a strategic platform here — not a side system. You’ll be the most senior technical ServiceNow specialist in the organisation, acting as the global SME, shaping the roadmap, influencing senior stakeholders, and driving real business value through automation, integration, and platform excellence.
If you’re looking for ownership, influence, and technical depth — this role delivers all three.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing, developing, configuring and enhancing the ServiceNow platform across enterprise-scale environments
- Leading the technical direction and roadmap for ServiceNow globally
- Working closely with senior business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions
- Delivering and optimising solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HR, CSM, Service Catalogue, App Engine and integrations (including collaboration tools)
- Driving automation, workflow efficiency, reporting and platform optimisation to maximise ROI
- Owning upgrades, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of the platform
- Acting as a technical mentor and leader to junior engineers (based internationally), without direct line management
- Ensuring strong documentation, governance, resilience, and best-practice delivery
What They’re Looking For
- Strong commercial experience on the ServiceNow platform (Senior level)
- Deep understanding of ITSM lifecycle, workflows, and platform architecture
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with other SaaS and on-prem systems
- Comfortable working across Agile delivery, sprints, and backlogs (Azure DevOps or similar)
- Confident communicator who can engage with both technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders
- A pragmatic engineer who balances hands-on delivery with strategic thinking
Nice to Have (But Not Essential)
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA and/or CAD)
- ITIL certification
- Experience across multiple ServiceNow modules — flexibility to learn others is supported
Why This Role Stands Out
- True seniority – global SME for ServiceNow
- Strategic impact – influence roadmap, architecture, and platform direction
- Hybrid working – Manchester-based with real flexibility
- Strong backing – investment in platform growth and additional team hires
- Stability + challenge – established organisation with a modern technology agenda
