We’re partnered with a large-scale enterprise SaaS organisation investing heavily in modern engineering as part of a long-term platform transformation.
This is a Technical Lead role sitting within a product engineering team responsible for building and evolving a high-volume, data-driven platform used across a complex, multi-service ecosystem.
You’ll join a team operating at genuine scale — delivering systems that process significant volumes of data and transactions daily — with a clear focus on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
This is a role for someone who wants to stay hands-on, while stepping into technical leadership and ownership of critical platform services.
As Technical Lead, you’ll operate at the intersection of hands-on engineering and technical leadership, guiding a team while remaining close to the code and architecture.
You will:
- Lead a team of engineers, setting the standard for engineering quality and delivery
- Design and build scalable, resilient, cloud-native systems
- Take ownership of key platform services, ensuring performance, stability, and maintainability
- Work closely with Product and Architecture to shape technical direction and delivery priorities
- Drive best practices across CI/CD, testing, and modern software engineering
- Contribute to system design decisions within a distributed, service-based architecture
- Mentor engineers and help elevate capability across the team
You’ll be working in a modern, cloud-native engineering environment, including:
- C# / .NET (latest versions)
- Azure (PaaS, cloud-native services)
- Microservices & event-driven architecture
- RESTful APIs and distributed systems
- SQL and data-intensive systems
- CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- React / TypeScript (desirable)
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience operating as a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer stepping up, or similar
- Strong background in .NET and cloud-based development (Azure preferred)
- Experience building scalable systems within a SaaS or platform environment
- Comfortable leading engineers while remaining hands-on technically
- Strong understanding of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, testing, DevOps)
- Ability to influence technical decisions and work across product and engineering
Why This Role:
- Work on a high-scale enterprise platform with real-world complexity
- Join a business investing heavily in modern engineering and cloud-native architecture
- Opportunity to take true ownership of systems and technical direction
- Strong engineering culture with a focus on quality, delivery, and continuous improvement
- Clear progression into Principal / architecture pathways
This role is ideal for someone who wants more than just delivery. It’s for an engineer ready to step into technical leadership, take ownership of critical systems, and help shape how a modern SaaS platform is built and scaled.
