Let's talk about the role...
As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you'll be a key part of our Halesowen team, working with a vibrant and diverse mix of clients. Your time will be split 70/30, around 70% on audit and 30% on accounts, giving you real variety and the chance to build well-rounded technical skills across both areas.
- Plan, lead and complete audit assignments (around 70% of your time), from fieldwork through to file review
- Prepare statutory accounts and support with client accounts work (around 30% of your time)
- Be the first port of call for your clients, building strong relationships and getting under the skin of their business
- Review the work of trainees and juniors, giving helpful feedback and coaching along the way
- Spot opportunities to add value and flag them to managers and directors
- Keep on top of changing accounting and auditing standards so our work stays accurate and compliant
- Manage your own workload and deadlines, and keep everyone updated on progress
Let's talk about you and your skills...
Hungry for a new challenge, you'll:
- Have solid audit and accounts experience, gained in practice
- Be part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA (or equivalent), or be well on your way
- Have a good understanding of UK GAAP and ISAs
- Be confident running your own jobs and reviewing the work of others
- Communicate clearly and build great relationships with clients and colleagues
- Pay close attention to detail, while keeping an eye on the bigger picture
- Enjoy working as part of a team and helping those around you to develop
