We are seeking an experienced and motivated Family Solicitor to join and help drive the continued success of our growing Family Law department at our Solihull office. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident fee earner looking to take the next step in their career, managing a varied caseload while also playing a key role in supporting junior team members and contributing to the development of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Case Management & Fee Earning: Manage a varied caseload across all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial remedies, cohabitation disputes, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and child arrangements. Ensure all matters are progressed efficiently from instruction through to resolution.
- Advocacy & Legal Representation: Provide expert legal advice and representation in both contentious and non-contentious matters. Attend court hearings, mediations, and other forms of dispute resolution as required. Support, supervise, and mentor junior team members and assist with the day-to-day running of the department. Work closely with the support team to maintain high standards of client care and case management.
- Client Care & Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering clear, practical, and empathetic advice. Handle sensitive and complex matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date file management at all times.
- Business Development & Growth: Support the continued growth of the Family Law department through networking, business development activities, and building client relationships. Identify opportunities to generate new work and contribute to the firm’s wider growth strategy.
- Reporting & Performance: Report on caseload progress, client outcomes, and opportunities for growth within the department. Contribute to overall team performance and departmental success.

Experience Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE in Family Law
- Experience managing a full caseload across a broad range of family matters
- Experience with complex financial and children matters
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
- Membership of Resolution or willingness to obtain
