We are seeking an experienced and motivated Private Client Fee Earner to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to manage a varied caseload while delivering high-quality legal services and exceptional client care. The successful candidate will play a key role in handling Private Client matters from instruction through to completion, while supporting the continued growth of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of Private Client matters, including Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, and Trust Registration Scheme work.
- Ensure all files are progressed efficiently from initial instruction through to completion, maintaining accurate records and case management updates.
- Handle the full administration of estates, including applications for Grants of Probate and administration of estates through to finalisation.
- Ensure all estate matters are progressed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Advise clients on inheritance tax implications and estate planning strategies.
- Provide clear and practical guidance to help clients make informed decisions.
- Communicate with clients regularly via phone, email, and in person.
- Provide clear, professional, and empathetic advice at all stages.
- Maintain excellent levels of client service to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Achieve agreed financial targets and KPIs.
- Ensure efficient file handling to support billing and overall departmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including internal policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of file management and risk awareness.
- Work closely with colleagues across departments and support cross-referral opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third parties and professional contacts.
- Support marketing initiatives and actively contribute to the growth of the department.
- Assist in building and maintaining a strong client base and referrer network.
- Keep up to date with legal developments and complete ongoing CPD in line with practising requirements.
About You
