Role Description
The Air Conditioning Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Fakenham. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems in residential and commercial properties. The role involves assessing site requirements, selecting appropriate equipment, fitting and connecting units, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. The installer will diagnose faults, perform routine servicing, and complete relevant documentation in line with company and regulatory standards. The position also requires clear communication with clients, coordinating with the wider engineering team, and adhering to health and safety procedures on every job.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in air conditioning and HVAC installation, maintenance, and fault finding.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems relevant to air conditioning units and associated controls.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, installation manuals, and specifications.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with a professional and respectful approach on site.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on safe working practices.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in air conditioning, refrigeration, HVAC, or electrical engineering.
- Valid UK driving licence and capability to travel to client sites across Norfolk.
- Previous experience in air conditioning or HVAC installation in residential or commercial settings is highly beneficial.
