Role Overview

The Atheon DevOps team is looking to add a new junior developer to our team. We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn with some experience in web development and/or interest in Python/Django. At Atheon we place immense importance on attitude, therefore candidates should have a real passion for technology, problem solving and a desire to be part of a small, successful and ambitious company.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide support and maintenance to the existing codebase
  • Follow a Test Driven Development approach
  • Deliver new features and enhancements in an efficient and timely manner
  • Be able to work in a 3rd line support environment
  • Actively support agile development methods and best practices

Additional responsibilities:

  • Be able to write tests based on assigned use cases
  • Be able to contribute to the project documentation

Ideal Candidate

Must have:

  • An IT related degree
  • Some basic Django experience
  • Some experience with project documentation
  • Right to work in the UK

Would be:

  • Happy to work in a small team
  • Happy to participate in code refactors
