About the Role We're looking for an experienced Tech Lead to run a small, high-performing team of engineers building products that deliver real business and customer value. This is a hands‑on technical leadership role where you'll combine software engineering expertise with coaching, technical decision‑making and delivery leadership. You'll help your team move quickly, build with confidence and take ownership of the products they create. What You'll Do Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 software engineers from our Manchester office Stay hands‑on, guiding architecture, engineering standards and technical decisions Deliver scalable, secure and reliable cloud‑native products on AWS Drive a "build it, own it, run it" engineering culture Improve delivery flow, remove blockers and help the team ship value quickly Champion engineering best practices across testing, CI/CD, observability and operational excellence Work closely with Product, Design and other business stakeholders to turn priorities into successful outcomes Encourage pragmatic adoption of AI tools to improve engineering productivity and quality You'll bring A strong software engineering background with experience delivering production systems Previous experience leading engineers or small delivery teams Practical AWS and cloud‑native architecture experience Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and modern engineering practices Experience working within Agile product teams Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience using AI tools to enhance software delivery and engineering workflows Bonus Points Serverless or event‑driven architectures SaaS, platform or data product experience Experience improving engineering maturity, operational excellence or team performance Familiarity with Team Topologies or modern engineering operating models You'll thrive if you are A hands‑on technical leader who enjoys solving complex problems Commercially minded and focused on delivering customer value Curious, adaptable and always learning Comfortable balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery Passionate about coaching engineers and building high‑performing teams Calm, collaborative and confident working across technical and non‑technical stakeholders Why Join?
