The purpose of this role is to lead the Stores transformation plan, change projects/programmes from design to detailed scope to delivery, managing all aspects from budget to resources, to end user experience. Collaborating with business stakeholders and other functions to land delivery in line with confirmed timeline and payback forecasting, striving to deliver a change that positively effects the way we sell and serve in our stores. You will also support/ partner business functions that are to deliver change into the stores environment to ensure the best possible customer and colleague service proposition is delivered successfully maximizing profit/growth and time to sell.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you\’ll be responsible for:
- Partnering with the Head of Store Transformation in defining the scope of future store initiatives within our Store Plan to deliver our 3-year plan targets.
- Developing and delivering propositions that optimise the store operating model. Giving recommendations for product design that enhance experiences across the store, drive sales/profit using a combination of both technology and process/ physical changes.
- Having a clear understanding of the end-to-end customer and colleague journey to allow for joined up strategic thinking across multiple channel proposition/change designs. Ultimately joining the dots on initiatives to allow for better product / programme design and end user experience at lower cost.
- End-to-end ownership of identified transformation initiatives.
- Leading Proof of concepts & pilots, coordinate with key sponsors to ensure clarity of measures , KPI\’s and business case agreement.
- Effecting change, adoption and enablement of future initiatives within the BAU operation using great communication with a clear understanding of future operational requirements.
- Engaging and collaborating with key business stakeholders to promote the understanding and consideration for the operational model design when propositions are being developed to drive further growth and efficiencies.
- Leading/supporting as a SME for retail change not owned by stores team, partnering the business owner and teams to drive the store priorities and effect the end delivery scope.
- Owning the communication and engagement for activities contained within identified initiatives, business partnering with the Communications SMEs, to ensure the cascade to the wider business and Retail is effective, engaging and lands right first time.
- Articulating to Business owners/Decision makers recommended approach, calling out risks and mitigations, simplifying the story, status and end goal delivery as the transformational lead.
- Coaching Stores Team members/leads in best practices in leading change across the Stores Plan to drive consistency and improved capability across the whole team and ensure we have a joined-up view of Continuous improvement and Transformational change.
You will need:
- In depth knowledge/experience of landing change in Retail.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders on complex programmes, in a simple focused way, across differing levels, including senior stakeholders.
- To have a commercial understanding of the wider business requirements and the ability to translate identified opportunities into clear requirements and outcomes.
- Ability to produce data driven recommendations and financial business cases to support investment decisions.
- Ability to be able to drive technical, people and process-based changes being able to interpret data and requirements in relationship to the end goal.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively, influencing key roles through built relationships, data and insight.
- Ability to challenge the status quo, think outside the box, use data and insight to influence internal decisions.
- A very high attention to detail and program governance knowledge to ensure the completion of initiatives is in line with end goal expectations and timelines.
- To be highly organised and driven. Ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives at once and at pace. Comfortable with a high pace changing work environment.
- Perseverance and motivation to deliver on deadlines. Ability to find creative solutions to barriers and problems.
- Proven experience of using external trends/insights to improve customer journey or commercial perfomance.
