The Product Owner acts as the bridge between business and offshore engineering teams, managed through Central Engineering onshore. The role involves translating business needs into detailed stories for technical teams, supporting backlog management across multiple brands within Currys, and collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize and refine requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and develop the product roadmap for iD Mobile and Currys Logistics & Communications (CLC)
  • Engage with and advise all relevant stakeholders
  • Manage business requirements for the development roadmap, including small changes and projects
  • Research and articulate business and functional requirements using user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Define clear outcomes using Given/When/Then scenarios
  • Support story development to meet the Definition of Ready
  • Prioritize and manage tickets for the brand roadmaps, supporting cross-brand prioritization
  • Refine stories and backlog, acting as a key point of contact for Scrum teams
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and ensure delivery aligns with requirements
  • Coordinate sign-off for sprint, testing, and production stages
  • Plan and communicate progress, including go-live activities

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Shared ownership of backlog, prioritization, and timeline management
  • Customer-centric approach to requirements
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Extensive experience (5+ years):

  • As a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Service Design Lead

Significant experience (3+ years):

  • With Jira and Confluence
  • In D2C E-commerce, including payment systems and integrations

Preferred experience:

  • In multi-brand environments
  • In regulated industries like FCA
  • With tools such as GA/GA4, Contentsquare, Optimizely

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Ecommerce, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
  • Expertise in Jira & Confluence
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
