At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As the UK’s best-known retailer of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of 25,000 caring and committed colleagues. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

Currys is in the middle of one of the most ambitious AI and automation shifts in UK retail. We are bringing agentic flows into financial processes, planning and financial reporting, putting AI at the heart of how Finance runs. The AI & Monetisation function is where the boldest bets get placed. The Enterprise Processes Squad is greenfield, focused squarely on the Finance function. You will own the Finance domain end to end, set the roadmap with the stakeholders who run it, and ship products that take cost, cycle time and risk out of how the business operates.

These problems are genuinely hard: optimising working capital across the trading cycle, automating vendor-funded income and supplier funding reconciliation, transforming transactional finance operations across our Global Business Services (GBS) organisation, and putting useful AI into the hands of finance business partners.

The teams you'll work with:

  • You will partner closely with engineers to bring your products to life.
  • You will work with UK&I finance colleagues across FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales and Service Finance, Financial Control and GBS, as well as adjacent business functions where finance processes touch them.
  • Additionally, you will work alongside our outsourced finance functions, delivering agentic processes.
  • You will engage with IT Operations, InfoSec and Enablement teams on shared infrastructure, AI capabilities, and governance, with attention to the controls and audit considerations of operating in a finance domain.
  • You'll influence stakeholders at every level, from finance operations colleagues through to the CFO leadership team.

Role overview:

You’ll build products with a modern data and AI stack: Claude Code, Databricks, dbt, and Omni. Additionally, you’ll need to:

  • Own the product roadmap for the Enterprise Processes squad, balancing Finance stakeholder needs against technical feasibility, platform dependencies, and the control and audit considerations specific to a finance domain.
  • Lead rapid prototyping and discovery work to identify high-value automation and AI opportunities across the finance process landscape, from transactional processing through to management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Translate finance process pain points (working capital optimisation, vendor-funded income reconciliation, period-end close, repetitive variance commentary) into product opportunities, validated through workshops, shadowing, stakeholder discussions and data exploration.
  • Write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers can deliver against, with explicit attention to controls, audit trails, exception handling and reversibility.
  • Define and track metrics that measure whether your products are creating business impact, with particular focus on process cycle time, manual effort displaced, and quality of output.
  • Run agile ceremonies, and quarterly OKR setting for your squad so that the team is aligned and understands what success looks like.
  • Coordinate sprint demos and roadmap readouts, communicating progress and trade-offs to finance stakeholders in language they understand.
  • Work closely with your engineers on source ingestion from SAP and adjacent finance systems, pipeline design, data modelling, and the data quality controls that finance use cases demand.

All the things you'll bring:

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance product management, working with data and analytics products, or LLM / ML solutions.
  • An understanding of how finance processes work end to end, and the discipline to respect accuracy, timing and auditability when designing automations that touch them.
  • Familiarity with SAP (or equivalent finance ERPs) and finance master data structures.
  • Demonstrated comfort working directly with engineers: You do not need to write production code, but you need to hold your own in technical conversations.
  • Extensive experience using AI tools to automate and improve your own workflows, and a clear point of view on how agentic AI can transform finance operations.
  • Experience with agile delivery in cross-functional squads, including backlog management, sprint ceremonies, and OKR frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate between finance language and technical language, and to push back constructively when priorities conflict.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack concepts: medallion architecture, dimensional modelling, data lakes, semantic layers, or equivalent.

The essentials:

  • Degree in a technical, finance or business field, or equivalent experience.
  • You’re a product builder, you default to building POCs and prototypes rather than relying on others.
  • You cultivate meaningful relationships with your stakeholders, lead with empathy and foster a culture of collaboration with your peers.

Join our team and we’ll be with you every step of the way, helping you develop the career you want with new opportunities, on-going training and skills for life. Not only can you shape your own future, but you can help take charge of ours too.
