The Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for leading the negotiation, management and optimisation of iD Mobile’s commercial contracts. This role plays a critical part in shaping commercial strategy, mitigating risk, and driving sustainable value for iD Mobile’s customer and commercial outcomes. You will lead cross-functional engagement with Legal, Procurement, Customer, Marketing, Online, Trading, Operations and external partners to ensure all commercial arrangements support iD’s strategic priorities.

Role overview: As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Lead the development of commercial contracting strategies to maximise customer and commercial value while effectively managing risk
  • Own and lead negotiations with third-party suppliers and partners on new and existing commercial agreements
  • Provide strategic commercial insight and challenge business proposals to ensure alignment with iD Mobile’s financial and strategic objectives
  • Own and ensure adherence to all contract governance processes, including Delegation of Authority and internal approvals
  • Lead the creation and presentation of business cases to secure approval for commercial initiatives
  • Provide oversight of contract performance, including compliance monitoring, issue escalation and resolution
  • Act as the commercial lead for cross‑functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders across the organisation
  • Identify opportunities for commercial improvement and drive continuous optimisation across the contract lifecycle.

You will need:

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in contract ownership and negotiation
  • Highly analytical with experience shaping commercial recommendations
  • Strong understanding of legal frameworks, regulatory requirements and risk management
  • Proven ability to influence at senior levels and manage complex stakeholder environments
  • Demonstrable leadership capability, including coaching and supporting junior team members
  • Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously
  • Proactive, resilient and solutions‑focused, with a drive to deliver continuous improvement
  • Telecoms or MVNO experience is desirable
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in relevant field
  • Advanced user of Microsoft applications
