As an Assistant Marketing Planning Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing campaigns to life - supporting the planning, coordination and execution of multi-channel marketing activity across advertising, social, influencer, PR, creative, content and CRM. You’ll act as a vital connector between commercial and execution teams, helping deliver campaigns that drive customer engagement, grow lifetime value and deliver real commercial impact.
Role overview:
- Supporting end-to-end planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Acting as a key link between commercial teams and marketing execution teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
- Creating and managing campaign briefs, tracking actions and ensuring delivery through the Quarterly Promo & Event Planning Process (QPEP).
- Supporting the execution of ATL campaigns and bringing creative concepts to life.
- Managing action trackers and planning documents to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
- Supporting peak trading activity including Black Friday, Christmas and January Sale campaigns.
- Coordinating Proof of Execution (POE) across campaigns and sharing insights with wider teams.
- Supporting annual planning processes and new technology launches to market.
You will need:
- Proven experience in a marketing, campaign planning or marketing operations role, ideally in a fast-paced retail or commercial environment.
- Experience supporting or delivering multi-channel campaigns (ATL, digital, social, CRM, PR or content).
- Ability to create and manage campaign briefs, coordinating stakeholders from planning through to execution.
- Strong organisational skills, with experience managing multiple projects, timelines and stakeholders.
- Experience working with campaign planning processes (e.g. calendars, promo cycles).
- Confident using Excel/reporting tools to track performance and manage campaign delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to use data to drive actions and recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience supporting peak trading or large-scale campaigns is desirable, along with exposure to POE or campaign reporting.
