AI and Monetisation Lead- Role Purpose: To act as a strategic partner and force multiplier to the MD of AI & Monetisation, driving operational excellence, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the function delivers transformational value to Currys through disciplined execution, effective cross-functional collaboration, and rigorous performance management.
Role overview:
As part of this role, you\’ll be responsible for:
• Drive operational excellence across the AI & Monetisation function, implementing delivery standards, OKRs, sprint planning, and performance reporting
• Act as deputy to the MD, representing the function in senior leadership forums and ensuring continuity of strategy
• Facilitate a high-performance culture, implementing performance management frameworks and fostering accountability for results
• Lead cross-functional programme delivery for Transformation and Technology initiatives, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and meeting milestones
• Develop strategic plans, coordinating annual planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and monthly performance assessments
• Champion delivery standards and agile practices, ensuring consistent adoption of methodologies and documentation standards
• Manage executive communications, including board presentations, investor updates, and C-suite briefings
• Lead organisational design and talent development initiatives, ensuring the team has the capabilities to meet strategic priorities
You will collaborate across AI & Monetisation, Transformation, Technology, Commercial, Finance, Retail, and Digital teams, building strong relationships that ensure strategic alignment and successful delivery. You will partner with HR to drive talent development, and work closely with stakeholders across the business to embed operational excellence, drive adoption of frameworks, and support executive decision-making.
You will need:
• Proven experience in a Chief of Staff or similar strategic leadership role in technology-driven organisations
• Exceptional programme management skills, driving complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy to delivery
• Strong financial acumen, including business case development, ROI analysis, and budget management
• Outstanding stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels, including C-suite
• Experience in performance management, implementing OKRs, KPI dashboards, and accountability frameworks
• Excellence in executive communication, translating complex technical and commercial information into clear narratives
• Strategic thinking with operational rigour, balancing long-term vision with short-term execution
• Track record of driving cultural change, embedding new ways of working, and fostering high-performance behaviours
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop pragmatic solutions
