The Student Communications Coordinator is required to work 8 hours per week during the academic year.
Position Description:
The Communications Coordinator assists with the creation of marketing and promotional materials to educate and inform Messiah’s community about sustainability programs, events, and initiatives.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with maintenance and improvements to Sustainability website pages, keeping information current and accurate.
- Create marketing materials utilizing web platforms, Canva, Photoshop, and/or other design tools.
- Communicate with team members to ensure event postings are accurate and timely.
- Manage the Office’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Outreach to partners to advertise the Office’s events, programs, and initiatives.
- Monitor and track engagement of website and social media accounts.
- Create and maintain printed communication in the office newsletter and annual report.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Strong writing abilities.
- Track record of positive social media presence.
- Experience working with diverse groups.
- Public speaking experience is a plus.
Dress Code Requirements: Casual; professional attire on occasion; no sweats.
