Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (negotiable)

Dixon International Group Ltd (DIG) is an established family business and a market leader in the construction and testing sector, based in South Cambridgeshire on a landscaped 4-acre site. Currently employing around 60 – 70 staff, we are looking to recruit someone to work alongside our Maintenance team to maintain the premises and grounds. The role is very varied and involves both indoor and outdoor working.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Someone with previous experience in a similar or comparable role.
  • As the role can sometimes be physically demanding, you will need to be physically fit.
  • Able to communicate at all levels and record detailed, accurate maintenance information.
  • Someone who is highly motivated and a team player.
  • Someone keen to learn new skills (e.g. forklift driving).
  • Willing to travel and hold a full UK-valid driving licence.

What the Role Entails:

  • General painting and decorating.
  • General repair work (basic joinery, minor construction and plumbing etc.).
  • Maintain plant, services and vehicles ensuring they are in working order.
  • Gardens and grounds maintenance (general grounds cleaning / clearing, minor tree trimming, repair guttering, filling potholes).
  • Good understanding of compliance, Health and Safety, and safe working practices.
  • Collecting building materials etc.

  • 11.5 days annual leave plus bank holidays as they fall within the 6-month contract.

Salary: Salary ranges from £25,000 – £31,000 pro-rated based off skill and experience.

We are a family manufacturing company specialising in the production of draught, weather, fire and acoustic seals since 1961. We are based on a 4-acre site in Pampisford with beautiful gardens and ample on-site parking. We export our products worldwide and supply many projects in the UK – recent examples being Wimbledon Centre Court, Spurs new Football Stand, the Thames Barrier and many more. We are a small and friendly team and as a result have low staff turnover.
