We are known for delivering high-quality legal services with a personal touch. We pride ourselves on our commitment to client care and professional excellence.
This is a full-time on-site role located in Blaby, Leicestershire for a Conveyancer; we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive to join our firm and support our Private Client team, focusing on the conveyancing aspects of our clients' needs. This role is integral to providing seamless support for property related matters both arising from private client instructions and standalone instructions such as residential sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
Unlike high-volume, low-cost conveyancing operations, our firm emphasises quality over quantity. The successful candidate will manage a balanced caseload, allowing time to deliver personalised, attentive service to clients. You will build strong relationships, ensure meticulous attention to detail and handle each matter with the care and professionalism our clients expect. You will also deal with a large number of sales where we are instructed by the personal representatives of a deceased person’s estate in connection with the administration of their estate.
Key responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end residential conveyancing transactions for clients, including freehold and leasehold sales/purchases, transfers of equity and remortgages.
- Conduct thorough title investigations, searches and due diligence to identify and mitigate risks.
- Draft and review contracts, transfers, leases and other legal documents with strong attention to detail.
- Liaise directly with clients, providing clear, empathetic advice and updates throughout the process.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Private Client department to integrate conveyancing with broader services, such as estate administration or trust-related property matters.
- Handle post-completion formalities, including arranging SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications and client follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant professional regulations, including those from the Council for Licensed Conveyancers, Solicitors Regulation Authority, and anti-money laundering regulation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and files using our case management system.
- Contribute to the firm's commitment to exceptional client care by attending meetings, responding promptly to queries and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive.
- At least 2-3 years' post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing, preferably within a private client context.
- Proven track record of handling complex transactions with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with England and Wales property law, including the Conveyancing Protocol and Land Registry procedures.
- Experience in private client work (e.g., probate-linked conveyancing) would be advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills to manage cases thoroughly without rushing.
- A working knowledge of legal case management systems, previous experience with LEAP is preferred but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a client-friendly manner.
- Client-focused approach, with a genuine interest in providing personalised service and building trust.
- Ability to work independently on a caseload while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in legal software, Microsoft Office and case management systems.
- Commitment to upholding high ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- A supportive, collaborative work culture in a firm that values work-life balance.
- Opportunities for professional development, including training and CPD support.
- Competitive salary and workplace pension.
- Free private car park.
