The predicted salary is between 11 - 15 £ per hour.

To work with children aged 1.5 to 11 years with the aim of promoting positive parent-child relationships. To implement programmes, methods and approaches which stimulate, enhance and develop children's educational, social and emotional development. To ensure the service and facility is available in a friendly and open atmosphere to all the children and parents. To implement the Clan Mor Sure Start programme. To work within the adopted policies and procedures of the providers.

Responsibilities

  • To provide high quality Play and Development facilities for children.
  • To support the emotional, social and educational development of children in a safe, nurturing environment.
  • Maintain service to required high standards.
  • To plan and support age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play to meet individual and group needs in conjunction with Co-ordinator Supervisor and team members.
  • Assess, observe, monitor and record children’s development in line with Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS).
  • Work alongside specialists to aid development of children.
  • To continuously improve childcare skills through training and reflective practice.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Childcare qualification at QCF Level 3 equivalent in childcare, Learning and Development or a relevant occupational qualification (as stated by Daycare Minimum Standards).
  • 2 years' experience in a childcare setting.
  • Knowledge of Sure Start.
