The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

To work with children Primary one to Primary 7 with the aim of promoting a safe and stimulating environment. To ensure the service and facility is available in a friendly and open atmosphere to all the children to develop through play. To implement the Divis Play Project After school’s programme. To work within the adopted policies and procedures of Divis Joint Development Committee.

Responsibilities

  • To plan and support age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play to meet individual and group needs in conjunction with Coordinator, Supervisor and team members.
  • Assess, monitor and evaluate the needs of users and respond appropriately.
  • Draw supervisors’ attention to any difficulties which individual children, or parents are experiencing and if appropriate provide support.
  • Promote and maintain a welcoming and caring environment in the Centre.
  • To promote positive behaviour, inclusion and well being for all children in our care.

Skills and Qualifications

  • NVQ 2 or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a childcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of current issues and legislation in childcare.
