An exciting opportunity has arisen to help lead the strategic planning of Edinburgh's health and social care services. This is a newly established post within the Strategy division of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, with responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the planning team. The successful candidate can choose between employment with the City of Edinburgh Council or NHS Lothian.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of planning officers and support the development of high‑quality strategic plans for transformation, service improvement and service delivery.
- Develop and manage strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders; support the service manager for planning with the development and delivery of a strong planning function.
- Use data to develop evidence‑based plans in complex, multi‑functional environments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience of service planning in a health and social care context.
- Sound understanding of health and social care policy and legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to use data to develop evidence‑based plans.

- NHS Lothian: Permanent Contract, Salary: £43,231 – £52,679, Hours: 36
