An exciting opportunity has arisen to help lead the strategic commissioning of Edinburgh's health and social care services. This is a newly established post within the Strategy division of the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the commissioning team.
You will manage a team of commissioning officers and support the development of high quality services in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will have previous experience of commissioning in a health and social care context and a sound understanding of health and social care policy and legislation. You will bring excellent communication skills and the ability to use data to develop evidence-based plans in complex, multi-functional environments.
You will be able to develop and manage strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and support the service manager for commissioning with the development and delivery of a strong commissioning function. This is an integrated role, which means the successful candidate can choose between employment with the City of Edinburgh Council or NHS Lothian. The post will be hybrid working requiring flexible and regular in person attendance.
