Position: Teacher of French with Spanish (fixed term until 29/6/2027) – Portobello High School, Edinburgh.

Pay & Hours:

  • Salary: £36,159 – £54,453
  • Hours: 35 per week

Role Overview:

Join a large staff team and an experienced, enthusiastic Modern Languages team with a proud record of academic success at all levels and in all languages.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach French and Spanish across all school levels as part of the Modern Languages curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
  • Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
  • For those who have spent continuous 3 months or more abroad in the last 5 years, must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
  • Unconditional offer will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
