Supervisory Assistant – Dining Room Ferryhill Primary School is a two‑stream school serving an area of SIMD 1‑4. The role supports the operation of the Breakfast Club, supervising the care, welfare and educational needs of pupils who attend.
Salary and Hours
£26,205 – £26,525 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional). Hours: 7.5 per week, 38 weeks sessional. Monday to Friday 7.30 am – 9.00 am.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the Breakfast Club, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all pupils.
- Plan and facilitate organised activities, including play and craft sessions, to engage every child.
- Maintain health, safety and data protection standards in all aspects of the club’s operation.
- Provide basic administrative assistance and respond to ad‑hoc requests from the School Management Team.
- Support the secure running of the Breakfast Club and assist in daily operational tasks.
Required Checks and Qualities
- 25‑year residency in the UK and a completed Personal Vulnerability Group (PVG) Scheme check, or an updated check if required.
- Overseas Criminal Record Check for those who have spent 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years.
- Positive outcome of both checks is a condition of employment.
