Key Responsibilities
- Conduct first conversations and initial duty assessments, including risk assessment and risk management.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to support adults, their families, and carers, balancing risk, need, and choice.
- Provide advice, support, guidance, and, if necessary, interventions for adults at risk of harm and in need of protection under the Adult Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007 or Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
- Participate in a supportive team environment with regular supervision and training.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered or in the process of registering with the Scottish Social Services Council.
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to formal offer; overseas criminal record check required for those who have spent three months or more out of the UK in the last five years.
- Compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, Protection of Vulnerable Groups Act 2007).
