An exciting opportunity for an administration professional to join the Department of Finance and work with the Procurement team. The post holder will provide clerical support to facilitate procurement initiatives, support the team in delivering action plans outlined in the University’s Vision, Sustainability, Finance, Value for Money and Procurement strategies, and coordinate support across Finance departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support;
- Implement and deliver strategic procurement services;
- Demonstrate administrative acumen;
- Maintain effective working relationships with Accounts Payable, Travel and Business Expenses, Finance and Business Change;
- Assist in achieving action plans;
- Promote the department and team, including updating webpages.
Qualifications
- 5 GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C or above (including English and Maths) – Essential
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google applications (Drive, Mail, Sheets) – Essential
- Experience working in a hybrid team environment and maintaining effective working relationships – Essential
- Effective written and verbal communication skills – Essential
- Experience delivering excellent customer service via virtual or face‑to‑face meetings, telephone and email – Essential
- Effective work prioritisation, paying particular regard to deadlines – Essential
- Excellent organisational skills and record keeping for legislative or audit purposes – Essential
