FTE £45,000 per annum. 14 hours per week, permanent. Part home‑based with travel around the UK as required.
This role is a Neonatal Senior Professional Officer in the Baby Friendly Initiative team of UNICEF UK. The primary focus is on supporting and delivering Baby Friendly assessments and training.
Responsibilities
- Undertake online and in‑person assessments of services seeking Baby Friendly accreditation across the United Kingdom.
- Facilitate and deliver infant feeding training to health professionals.
- Support the delivery and development of the Baby Friendly programme and its initiatives.
- Provide support to the National Infant Feeding Network.
- Travel as required for in‑person assessments, with assessments planned well in advance.
Qualifications
- Experience and strong track record of leading the implementation of the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards within a relevant UK public service.
- Experience delivering infant feeding training to health professionals.
- Current experience in neonatal services is highly welcomed.
