School Support Assistant – Fixed term until 29/06/2027 at Stenhouse Primary School. Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro‑rata for part‑time and sessional). Hours: 18 per week, 39 weeks sessional. Stenhouse Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic School Support Assistant to join the team. The role is predominately based in the office assisting the School Administrator with functions such as attendance monitoring, procurement and managing school meals, and providing support during lunch and break times.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the School Administrator with attendance monitoring, procurement and managing school meals.
- Provide support during lunch and break times.
- Perform additional office support functions as required.
Working Times
Monday – Thursday, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. Interviews will be held in August when the schools return.
Eligibility and Checks
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more overseas in the last five years, an overseas criminal record check will be required and must be provided. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both of these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Qualifications
Candidates with experience in similar school‑based office support roles would be desirable.
