As a Roman Catholic school community, we at St Ninian's are committed to providing an environment and experiences that promote the spiritual, moral, physical, social and intellectual development of all individuals to their full potential within an ethos of care, respect and security.

We are a Catholic Primary school that has been part of the Lochend Community since the 1930s. We have 30 children attending our nursery class. In the main school, we have 197 children across 8 classes, of which two are composite classes. Our nursery class and school population are very diverse, with children of many nationalities and 21 different home languages being spoken.

The School Leadership Team consists of Head Teacher, Principal Teacher and part-time Business Manager. The Nursery Team consists of an Early Years Officer, three Early Years Practitioners and an Early Years Assistant. This Early Years Domestic post will be in addition to these roles and is to support lunchtime in the nursery class. We have a School Administrator, part-time School Support Assistant and 6 permanent Pupil Support Assistants.

In addition to the duties within the job description, the successful candidate must demonstrate extensive experience of delivering a wide range of administrative, clerical and general office support services. They must be able to manage the school diary and provide a confidential PA service to the Head Teacher, providing a welcoming environment for parents and visitors, and ensuring any difficulties are dealt with in a confidential and appropriate manner.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The candidate will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salary: £27,257 - £29,850 (pro rata for part-time and sessional)

Hours: 32 per week, 40 weeks sessional Monday to Friday. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. Happy to talk flexible working.
