Salary: £27,257 – £29,850 (pro‑rata part‑time and sessional).
Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
Drummond Community High School is a fully comprehensive, non‑denominational secondary school based in Edinburgh city centre. We pride ourselves on nurturing big ambitions and offering a wide range of opportunities across the curriculum from S1 to S6, preparing learners for their future positive destination.
We are looking for 2 enthusiastic Pupil Support Workers to join our Support for Learning Team and work one‑to‑one with a pupil. The PSW will ideally have relevant experience in the secondary sector and must possess good communication skills and a commitment to supporting pupil progress.
Responsibilities- Work one‑to‑one with pupils to support their academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to monitor and promote pupil progress.
- Implement individual support plans and interventions as required.
- Relevant experience in a secondary school setting.
- Strong communication abilities and a supportive attitude towards pupil progress.
- Willingness to undergo the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or secure a PVG Scheme update check.
- Ability to provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check if residing outside the UK for a continuous period of 3 months or more in the last 5 years.
