Craigroyston Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced candidate to join our team on a temporary part-time basis. We welcome applications from those with a proven track record of supporting families and nurturing learners. The ability to establish and maintain positive relationships resulting in inclusion for all is essential.

Our school benefits from a diverse staff team with a range of experiences and interests. We have a large pupil support team consisting of PSA, EYP and PSO practitioners, a vibrant ELC and 13 classes taught by a mixture of full time and part time teachers. The school has a HT, DHT, PT and DO leading across the school. We are proud of our diverse and vibrant community. Purpose of Job
- Working collaboratively as a member of the team within all education establishments, help pupils meet their educational, care and welfare needs, ensuring those with intensive and complex and/or a high level of language support needs can effectively access the curriculum.
- Support the development and delivery of individual, group and whole-school approaches and programmes in one or more specialist areas, including, but not restricted to, Bilingual Support, Attendance, Care Experienced, De-escalation, Neurodiversity.
- Be flexible and provide support and assistance in the day-to-day operations of the school as directed by the school leadership team.
- The support needs of the child or young person may include significant social, emotional and behavioural needs requiring provision of a high level of support for dysregulated behaviour.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
