Position: Pupil Support Leader – Fixed term until 28/05/2027 at Leith Academy.

Details:

  • Salary: £64,659
  • Hours: 35 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead support for pupils.
  • Active member of the school leadership team.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of effective support for young people and their families.
  • Take part in offering and leading support across the team, ensuring progress and quality of support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic professional with vision and energy to sustain and promote quality support.
  • Experience in pupil support or a related sector.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the leadership team.
  • Required to participate in the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check; must also undergo an Overseas Criminal Record Check if overseas travel of 3 months or more in the last 5 years.

Legal and Inclusion:

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will also be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
