Position Overview: Pupil Support Assistant at Craigroyston Primary School.
Salary and Working Hours:
- Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro‑rated for part‑time and sessional).
- Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively as a member of a team within all education establishments.
- Support pupils with additional support needs to access education and have their care and wellbeing needs met.
- Provide flexible support and assistance in the day‑to‑day operation of the school, as directed by the school leadership team.
- Manage the support needs of children or young people, including social, emotional and behavioural needs, providing support for dysregulated behaviour.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- This is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
- Applicants must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
- Those who have spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years must provide an Overseas Criminal Record Check.
- Employment will be conditional on satisfactory pre‑employment checks.
